We're really looking forward to this one. One of our very favourite DJs and re-mixers has agreed
to be the next guest for Shock and with the recent release of his Piece Works album, which
sums up his ten career to date we can't think of a better time for this show to take place.

Ewan has never yearned for the spotlight some other DJs clearly enjoy. Instead he's spent the
last ten years creating some seminal productions like his re-take on Freeform Five's Perspex
Sex, his Moroderesque mixes of Goldrapp, his twisting of Chemical Brother's The Golden Path
into a dark rave infused dub and his productions with Al Usher under th Partial Arts moniker
to name a few.

While his re-mixography is impressive, what's even more impressive is his ability to improve
on originals by acts like The Pet Shop Boys, Depeche Mode, Goldfrapp, Franz Ferdinand,
The Rapture, Moby, Ladytron, Alter Ego, Slam, Playgroup, Black Strobe, Feist and SuperMayer

Pearson's polished production bleeds into his DJ sets, which are constantly gaining a higher
profile due to his track selection and superlative mixing style, long smooth mixes that combine
not just the key beat but also the harmonic key combining different elements of tracks together
to sound utterly organic.

Flawless transitions Mixing skills are only part of the story, however, and his Sci.Fi.Hi.Fi. mix
was equally impressive for the distinctively melodic floating quality it sustained for long
stretches. Pearson's recent Fabric mix, while more a more percussive affair also shows his
ability to envision a group of songs together as a solid piece of work creating a mood and
consistency throughout rather than a couple of tracks aimlessly stitched together.

Ewan's recent production credits include Tracey Thorn's (Everything but the Girl) acclaimed solo
album 'Out Of The Woods', The Rapture's 'Pieces of the People We Love', as well as work
for both Goldfrapp and Gwen Stefani,

Ewan kicks recently started a new 'occasional label' Misericord' with a new EP from his Partial
Arts partner Al Usher. Partial Arts will follow up their acclaimed 'Trauermusik' with a new
single for Kompakt very shortly

Ewan has just finished production on a new album from M83 so Ewan is looking forward
to getting back behind the decks as soon as possible.
