    rosters on NFL dot com

Sean Taylor was voted in. Favre gets the start over Romo.
No Greg Jennings! Packers have only Favre, Driver, Kampman and Harris.

You know you're having a good season when you get the nod ahead of Peyton Manning :)
I like the look of the NFC side - peterson and Favre will offer a crazy amount of offensive options.

Pity though that the game itself is a bit of a joke.

think you're confusing Manning with the NFC conference, Brady is the starter ahead of Manning for the AFC, but that was shoe in anyway, dont think he needed to be voted ahead of Manning to know hes having a good season. Strange tho how the Chargers have the same amount of players going as the Patriots (8). But doesnt bother me, Superbowl is the main one, and as FB says, its a joke of a game really.

how the f*ck can they not give any players from the Jags a Pro-Bowl appearance.Jaguars are 10-4 an a division with the Colts, Titans and Texans.

how did they vote in Ben Rothlisberger ahead of David Garrard of the Jaguars.Garrard has the 2nd best passer rating in the NFL behind only Tom Brady.

and also how did fred taylor not make it.he had his 4th consecutive 100yd game against the steelers on sunday(he was only the second player in the last 30 games who had 100 rushing yds against the steelers).he had a better avg yds per carry than the 3 men who were voted ahead of him.he has never been to the pro-bowl and this is his 11th season.

i think its about time the NFL executives take a look at the voting procedure if guys like these are getting left behind

Fans voted it on NFL.com don't forget its all who the fans know and not how good the players are. All those who know football usually dont give a fook about the pro bowl its a joke anyways.

No I meant Brady - it was late, I thought I wrote that, ha ha. Yeah Brady looks set for the best season ever, but it's his first ever starting place in the Pro-bowl if I'm not mistaken, I guess that's the point I was making.

The Vikings have 7 players named to the NFC team, 6 starters and 1 reserve... and when Matt Birk is that reserve well then you just know the starting Centre (Gurode) played well :D

Then you have the best backfield in the NFL, Adrian Peterson and Tony Richardson... the best interior defensive line in the NFL, Pat and Kevin Williams... and then Hutch and Sharper. Though I don't see how Sharper was the best safety in the NFC this year, he appears to be the most popular!

So the Vikes have 7! Thats only 1 behind the Patriots... :D

Fans vote only counts for a third of total I believe (may be wrong here)

I wouldn't have Garrard ahead of Rothlisberger though. I'd have Derek Anderson from the Browns ahead of both of them this year though. Fred Taylor absolutely deserves to be there ahead of Addai though

And to those who say its a joke, just look at the comments from the players involved. Every one of them wants to be voted in (although not neccesarily play...)

Think Welker is the unluckiest Patriot. Although he was up against a great group that got in

fair enough Derek Anderson had a good year but to have Garrard as 6th choice QB is a bit much.he's behind Anderson and Carson Palmer on the list.Palme has been non-existant.i bet if the jaguars won the Superbowl they'd have a minimum 4 players on Pro-Bowl next year no matter how **** their season was

Sorry, didn't see the full list*. And Palmer's been poor this year (and I'd rank him the top three in the league normally)

    * any links please?

You're correct - players are voted into the Pro Bowl by the coaches, the players themselves, and the fans. Each one of these ballots count for one third of the votes. The fans vote online using the NFL's official site.

Until 1995, only the coaches and the players voted the Pro Bowl selections and it was expanded to include the fans.

    Here's one: votes.

Anything else you'd like me to get you? A cuppa? :D

i feel kinda bad for being happy about this but it looks like Fred Taylor might be going to the Pro-Bowl afterall thanks to Willie Parker breaking his leg last night against the Rams

A beer and a hot dog. Thanks ;)

Some interesting votes in there alright

Just shows that fan votes don't actually mean that much. Welker is pretty high in the AFC voting but was behind 4 WRs and Joshua Cribbs as KR. brian urlacer top ILB in NFC but doesn't make it...

Have you actually watched Urlacher much this season. He's been awful and he's been boosting his tackle count by by jumping on guys when they've already been brought to the ground in order to claim a half tackle. There's a reason he's made so many tackles, people are running at him because he's viewed as somebody who's beatable.

Ever since Tom Brady skinned him I lost any respect for Urlacher. Anyone remember Bradys shimmy to get past Urlacher genius. Urlacher is the not the player he was he lives in his own hype now. When he was a rookie coming out of college he was an exciting LB to watch now he just well average. Although in his defence the game the other night against Vikes he was actually a picture of his younger self a few sacks a couple of TFL and a fair few tackles but thats one game out of 14.

I'd be more afraid of A.J Hawk or E.J Henderson at the moment than Urlacher, thats not to say I wouldn't piss myself in his presence but he is having a woeful season compared to some of his past few.

Even the game against the Vikes he didnt play great really, yeah the stats looked good but when you watch the plays it wasn't him that made the play, he was just in the way as the play went by him! His pick and fumble recovery are prime examples of that, not to mention his two sacks where Birk let him through unblocked... Birk had a horrible game, nobody picked up Urlacher at all on his two sacks.

But alot of linebackers dont make their own plays they clean up the mess or look good on someone elses work. A blitzing linebacker prays an olinemen makes a mistake or his d-line make good blocks creating holes. I agree with you on the fumble i was giving out when urlacher got the credit I dont like the guy being honest but he was everywhere againts the vikes doing what a D player should do. The Bears defence have been like that for years working as a unit it just seems like Urlacher gets undeserved credit for the most part.

Briggs is only starting to get credit now he should have been getting for years. Urlacher went forever without a sack, now teams are more afraid of Tommie Harris at DT so the double team on Harris means Urlacher blitzes and gets a sack now and again. I've seen him make so many half-hearted attempts at tackles this season it's nauseous. It's contentious to say in the States but would he get half the credit he's gotten in his career if he was African American. Probably not I'd say.

DOn't get me wrong I don't think he deserved to be there. I was just pointing out that he was voted top by fans and didn't make it. Proving the earlier point that the pro bowl is selected by idiot fans as wrong.

No way in hell does Urlacher deserve to be there on this years form
