I was just wondering what most people would think a fair % markup would be when you either transfer $ into someones account from yours so they can play or cash them out if they are a bit short of cash.

What sort of a question is this. Ive trasnsferred money to a couple of people and never even contemplated charging them a fee. As far as Im concerned its a favour between friends. To exploit someone who trusts you enough to approach you for such a favour is pretty low in my opinion.

if he made whatever rate known before hand, then there is no problem. if the person in Q was that desperate for the cash that they went ahead at these rates then its his own fault.
As conbro touched on, you wouldnt charge a % to a friend, id agree, and guess they arent friends

why charge 10% so as not to encourage someone?
If you don't want to do it just say no,charging a percentage just makes you look like a *anker.
This situation is probably not gonna arise unless both parties are friends anyway.

    MoroMan,what prompted you to ask??

I do it all the time for nothing but I can see some situations where it's fair to charge a fee, anything more than 5% would be a lot though.

being honest.. was thinking about this a lot lately, cause im the only one out of "our group" with any way of getting money onto some sites, so i have to do a lot of work transferring from sites to neteller and then to other sites and all that stuff... and i get charged for going back and forth to neteller but they dont seem to give a ****..
if i ever use one of their accounts i always leave a few $ in their account for them to play with(my accounts seem to regularly get closed from all the transferring) yet i never seem to get anything back when they ask me for a favour..
i voted atari thingy only because i think 5% is too much, if i was gonna charge someone would never be more than around 3%, probably 1 or 2 to be honest.. think i might start doing it :D

well if you're getting charged by the powers that be,in fairness your friends should cover that.

Lets just say I asked someone to change $2000 for me And say the correct exchange was e1650 Then i'd say hey buddy just gimme the 1600 cos your doing me a favour But I'd be fairly annoyed if they said anything like I'll give you 1100/1200 take it or leave That would just be wrong
