My Sky+ box refuses to record any channels only the one that is currently being watched.

The signal strenght is good on the First line into the box, but the second line is not recieveing a signal at all. I've check each cable (line) to see if its the LNB but thats fine. It was working fine at the weekend but just seems to be fecked today.

So it would suggest its the box itself is bandjaxed. Is there any way of fixing this as sky are washing thier hands of it. Each time i ring sky i get India gob****e on the phone. Would it be worth while just getting a new box?

    Thanks all:(

Swap the cables around and tell us if the signal readings are reversed or not

Ok just to be clear when you swap the cables the reading on the box stays the same IE input two gives the same reading?

Ok thats good news in one way, the box is fine you have a problem in either the cable or the lnb. Check your F connector first to make sure its connected correctly, Watty has some good pics on his site.http://homepage.eircom.net/~watty/satellite/sathowto-p8.htm Do you have access to the dish as this is your next thing to check?

Cap in hand time! The cable going into the second input was a bit loose in the 'F' connector. I'm getting full signals on both inputs now. Sorry Tony for waisting your time. Cheers any who fella.
