    I have my first law exam on wednesday and I need a bit of help. I'm trying to box off a few cases per subject but having to wade through so much stuff is wrecking my head.

    Can someone give me a few of the leading cases on the topics of precedent, judicial review of legislation, legislative interpretation and stare decisis.

    No, did you? I have pages and pages of notes but what I'm really looking for is something similar to the headnotes you get with the cases only shorter.

    I got 52%. I'm ok with that for a first real attempt at a problem question for this course. Still no sign of the debate marks.

    Our oil boiler in the house blew up so someone had to be here while it got fixed. I wouldn't have gone in anyway. By my calculations 52% of 30% means I have 15.6% of the overall course mark. I could be wrong though.

    How are you fairing with the study?

    your calculations are fine my good man;

    well the very fact that im on boards as opposed tostudying should give you some indication of how i am!!!! :confused::confused::confused:

    on that note, ive just guilt tripped myself so im off to study!

    for at least 20 mins!!:rolleyes::p

    GDM: On www.irlii.org you can get seminal cases categorised by relevance. http://www.ucc.ie/law/irlii/irliiindex/indexcat_seach.php?typ=Administrative&&sort=&nav=typ

    If you look into the sub headings then you can pick off the areas.

    Cheers, I've had a look there, there are some important cases they don't have because there are years missing from their database.

    I hate to say it, I know it's not what you want to hear, but I'm sure your lecturer has highlighted the cases that he/she wants you to focus on. You'll get better guidance speaking to other people in your class than randomers on the internet I'm afraid.

    :D You've probably never met him then. Keep it as vague and gibberishy as possibe seems to be the way he likes to do things.

    After ten solid hours today I think I should be ok. As long as I don't completely blank when they put the paper in front of me.
