Best time to buy an dell laptop - now or after christmas

    Hi there,
    Im thinking of getting an XPS M1530 from Dell @ € 1,142.09. Between a sale price and the dell coupon thats a saving of 280 euros but both deals expire on the 19th.Im not sure if should buy now or wait till the new year.

    The specs are -
    Intel Core 2 Duo Processor T7250 (2.00 GHz, 800 MHz FSB, 2 MB L2-cache
    Genuine Windows Vista Home Premium
    2.0 mega pixel Camera & Tuxedo Black for CCFL Display

    Does any body think that i should wait until January? Does Dell have any good winter sales?

    Foobar - I went ahead with the order last night. Exactly the same as yours. I expect it on the 9th Jan. I'm upgrading from a 384Mb ram, 30Gb P4 1.8Ghz laptop (inspiron 2650) that I bought for €1.8K 5 years ago. The 1530 is a great bargain. I mean if you use it everyday I wouldn't worry about it - I mean I got great use out of the P4. The 8600M GT (DDR3 ram) is a fantastic card - slightly faster than the desktop 7600GT - pretty good for a laptop (half-life2 and Oblivion territory).

    I got a call from Dell a few days ago to say it would be delivered on the 27th December. Hmmm.. I let ye guys know and whip up a photos if it does indeed arrive. Should be skeptical since it was only ordered on the 19th and the website said a 2 week delay. Let's see...

    Speak of the devil - got a phone call 15 minutes later asking if I received the laptop - not yet - but the girl said she would call again tomorrow.
