According to reviews, there is one called Princes of Pigskin-100yrs of Kerry footballers. Its supposed to be excellent, where they pick one player from each team/season over the last century AFAIK. Going by reports, it seems like a good book, but personally, I'm not sure as I haven't seen it yet.

Michael O Muirethertaighs (sp?) book is meant to be good afaik. This is coming from a man who hasnt read a book since they forced me to in school tho but i hear its meant to be a good one :D

Mick O' Dywer has a new (his third) autobiography out. Even Liam Hayes gave it a pretty good review in the Trib last sunday and that says something.

McConvilles book is mean to be quite good. It was written by the young lad in the Trib Ewan McKenna who is a pretty good Journo

Have not read it but if his weekly column in the Irish times is anything to go on the Jack O' Connor book is well worth buying.

A book by Michael Foley call Kings of September was voted Boylesports Book of the Year. Its about that tragic day that Darby pushed Tommy Doyle in the back.

Tom Humphreys wrote an excellent book last year on the rivalry between Dublin and Kerry.

Also a chap called Tom Williams done a good book last year on Nicky Rackard.

"The Road to Croker" by Eamonn Sweeney is a great account of the 2003 season, well worth a read.

The Jack O'Connor book is well worth buying. He is refreshingly honest and candid and pulls no punches. Not sure if Jack will be reading Kings of Setember though as he doesn't automatically fall at the feet of the great Kerry team like everyone else down there...that's the only one I've read so can't recommend anymore - sorry

And it's Nickey Rackard with an e - I think Croke Park have copped on to this at last

"The GAA book of fun and games" is a good buy it's hilarious. I can't remember who it's buy but it's full of facts and quotes as well as jokes on each county.

Just bought "A Season of Sundays 2007" for the old man, its summary of the season in pictures, some fantastic shots in there, really bring me back to colour and excitment of the C'Ship! Roll on the Summer :)

" Its about that tragic day that Darby pushed Tommy Doyle in the back. " Not so tragic for Offaly I would have thought.

Finished 'Christy Ring: Hurlings Greatest' today, an enthralling read couldn't put it down from the moment I got it. A must for hurling fans.
