Replacing Stones

I have a silver ring which had a lovely large, unusually cut aquamarine stone in an unusual setting (marquisite on the band). Unfortunately not long after I was given the ring, i had a fall & the stone was knocked out & could never be found. This happened some years ago, and when i came across the ring again this week I decided to try to have the stone replaced - none of the local jewellers can recommend anyone to do this, as the setting is not regular, and the fact that there's marquisite on the band is a drawback as the claws can't be replaced in case the marquisite burns - anyone got any tips on whereabouts I could try next? Another semi-precious stone would be all I'd want to put into it. Thanks!
