    Too bloody right. It is a free phone number for emergencies only, not for making a free call to your local station.

    A Paramedic friend of mine who worked on controls had this call.

    "Hello is this Sky?"
    "Excuse me?"

    "Is this Sky TV?"
    "This is ambulance control, do you have an emergency?"

    "No No, the tv said press 999 for free Sky+"
    "Sigh...."


    How on earth did that call get to ambulance control from the emergency operater?

    all that i can say " FFS" can the emergency service control centre release something similiar over here ??

    Wud be great listening to that rather than gift grub!

    Assuming these are all actually true etc ..

    That last one, how could the operator put so many lives in danager like that? She gave the woman much too much time on the phone. She should have cut her off as soon as it became obvious the woman was a nut and reported her to the Police.
