Anyone know the route of the Goal mile in the Phoenix Park? Is it road or grass? And with the Goal races in general - are there competetive races, or is it just for fun?

Not 2 sure about the one in the park, I usually do the one in belfield, which is 4 laps of the track. There's always a great atmosphere at it, and there is a big spread in standard in all the races, from the top boys like Joe Sweeney/Alan McCormack sprinting around in 4 1/2mins to people out for a 9min jog. Ya get a goal t-shirt if you win your race, but they are more about the fun/charity than being very competitive
