Anyone know which car rental companies will hire to a person with less than 1 year holding a Full License ?

I've been driving for 3 years no claims on my own car, but am travelling to Cork and want to rent a car there for the weekend.

Thrifty seem to be the best price but require you hold your full license for 2 years.

I'll be 27 Years old when picking up the car

Enterprise rent-a-car is probably the only one. They normally charge a small fee. www.enterprise.ie

Enterprise are usually sound. I think Europcar do, too (not 100% sure, though).

Do you have your own fully Comp insurance? If you put the car on your own insurance the car rental companies don't care what age / type of license you have.

Hope this helps. I work in the industry (for Thrifty) so let me know if you have any other questions.
