any places in ireland that do decent motherboard repair?

ive a broken pin and i dont fancy soldering one on myself.

few people telling me to go to a jewlery shop as they do a lot of pin repair.

would it be worth a shot?

Are you talking about the power pin on a laptop motherboard or what type of pin?
I can imagine the looks you'd get if you brought a motherboard to a jewellers....

    i bought 680i motherboard.

and the cpu sits onto a field of pins.
one of the pins is broken.

i know it would be wierd going to a jeweller's, but apparently they would be the best option for it.

    Try booting up without it,

I had a similar issue on an AMD64 939 CPU,

One pin got bent and fell off,

It worked fine without it :)

    OK,

Like I said, it worked for me, thought you might have not wanted to try booting in case it did further damage.
