Does the SU shop still refuse to stock tabloids like the Sun and the Star? I always found it amusing that a place that should support free thought was complicit in deciding what was appropriate for students to read.

    Wolfie Smith would turnj

Yes, but there is a good reason why this is the case. These papers contain pictures of hot aul bitches wearing feic all clothing, and because of this big rum soaked durty crispy old men with maggots on their willies keep going in a jerking off over them in the most conspicuous of locations and loads of maggots fall off their willies and then spew roasting puke all over the place

Not having in stock is not the same as deciding what you read. It also doesn't stock fisherman's weekly. Likely one of the reasons is a lack of demand.

I'm fairly sure the Star is available in the SU shop, it is also quite different from its British equivalent.

yep, Irish Star is 50% owned by the Indo, and is actually (fully?) written here.

I think they bring in some celeb and sports stuff from the English version but most is home produced.
