Nobody's been interested enough to download it? I'm disappointed!

It has useful things like how to pronounce different combinations of letters.

I downloaded it! Sorry didn't have time to thank you for link, only had time to look at some of the illustrations. Looking forward to going through it in more detail once I get my head aroung the sean-chló. Go raibh maith agat.:)

Good luck with the sean-chló - it's not so hard. The 's' looks like an 'f' with the crossbar missing, and the 'r' looks like a p except the loop doesn't close but curves outwards. The 'h' in words like 'sean-chló' is replaced by a buailte - a dot over the letter being softened, which was a kind of shorthand brought in by the 18th-century poets who were transcribing poems after days of labouring in the fields. (They lost their income and became labourers when their patrons lost their lands.)

Ceachta Beaga is brilliant as a guide to pronunciation.

I think I may have a version of it done in a kind of phonetic transcription somewhere in the house. Would love to find the other books in the series.
