Creative Zen V Plus

    Hi all. I have a Creative Zen V Plus and it just turned off and won't turn back. The battery is full. It won't reset either. Is there any solution other than sending it back? I don't have a receipt anymore so I have no proof of guarantee. I'm pretty peed off with Creative now, they seem to be more trouble than they're worth.

    hmmmm that sucks! If only you had some proof of purchase.. did you pay in cash for it?

    You'd be pretty much screwed with any manufacturer without a proof of purchase....however with creative they sometimes only need the units serial number...that can tell them the month is was manufactured in.

    I bought it in cash, well my Dad did. It was a birthday present. I have emailed Creative to see what they say.

    Mine does the same, just freezes, and won't respond to ANYTHING- even resetting- so I have to leave it until the battery wears out.

    So annoying!!!

    I used to have the same problem with my Vision M - reloaded the firmware and have not had the problem since.

    There are forums on the Creative website that gives details of how to overcome the problem. Probably have the same for your Zen V plus as well. That's where I found out how to fix it anyway.

    My flat was really cold today so I popped on the heating and hoped that would sort the problem out. Surprisingly it did! Tried to reset it there a few minutes and it worked away, not a problem on it now. So happy it's sorted, don't know where I'd be without music!

    Just on the warranty receipt thing - I sent my zen back before - one from the states without a receipt and they gave me a new one no problem. I just explained it had been a present and I'd asked my friend for the receipt and they said no hassle at all.
