Cyst on penis?

Hi - kind of embarrassing issue here. I have what I believe is a cyst under the skin of my penis. It's not big, but a little noticable. I've had it about 4 years and its not looking like its going anywhere..

I had one before about 10 years ago, but I got rid of it with a little slice with a sterilized razor. This one however seems to be deeper under the skin, so a little nick didn't do the trick. It's like a little white egg shaped cyst..

It's really affecting me, and I'd dare not date a girl as I wouldn't feel comfortable. I'm wondering if anyone here has had one - Did you go to the doctor? I assume I will need surgery, but it's a very embarassing issue to talk to a doctor about and i'm not very good with people, so approaching a doctor about this has me in a panic.

Looking for advice and reassurance on the issue. I 100% need to have it removed.. so I understand inevitably, I'll need to approach a doctor.. but I don't want them to brush it off as a non-important issue and have me feel embarassed.

    thanks
    b.

Doctors are a professional bunch. They've seen all this stuff before and they'll see it many many times again.

You don't have a choice in the matter, the sooner you go the better. You'll feel nothing but relief walking out of the surgery i promise.

Go to a doctor and don't wait any longer to do so. Let them know your concerns.

Seriously, at the very first sign of something like that I'd be off to the doctor asap. I'm sure it wont be a big operation and it's going to have a major improvement on your (sex)life. No-brainer!

go to a doctor asap, it's most likely harmless.

You'll need surgery, but it's not a big deal. You'll be knocked out for it, it'll be sore for a while but it'll be gone.

Go talk to your GP and arrange it.

No, it's not ... it's a cyst. Where it is located is a minor issue ... you have a medical problem which requires professional assessment and treatment ... and that is exactly what you will get.

Let me be the sixth in a row to urge you to go to a doctor as soon as possible.

Yeah, go to the doctor and get it checked out to make sure.

I had something similar a few years back, i freaked when i found a tiny lump on my shaft, i'd describe it as a hardended hemisphere under my skin about 1mm in radius.

The doctor reassured me its nothing to worry about, its something to do with a vein splitting in two and the skin around it getting hard.

You can get it removed if you want but he advised me not to bother as its not really worth the (low) risk to get something removed that doesnt need to be.

Apparently ive probably had it for years and not noticed it before.

It doesnt affect me in a sexual way at all, my girlfriend says she doesnt notice it when doing stuff to me and i have to say i dont notice it when doing stuff to me either.

I check it for size to make sure it hasnt grown every once in a while when i check for other bumps and stuff, but it hasnt gotten any bigger or smaller in the past four years.

But do go to the doc to make sure, ye cant be too careful when your manhood is at stake!;)

Apologies for grossness, but do you clean under your foreskin? Can you roll your foreskin back fully? 'Stuff' can accumulate under there if not.
