Got Sky in a couple of months back. Opted for the most basic package, variety pack and knowledge pack...€22 a month direct debit, free install etc.
Anyway about a month back I got a letter telling me I'd been given a 2 week trial of the "full" package (Movies, Sports, Music etc) which was to run until 29th Nov (IIRC). I didn't read any small print or pay much heed
I've been away from home with work for the past two and a half weeks and only got back last night. When I turned on the TV I was greeted with all the sports and movies that should have been turned off by now....so I suppose I'm posting to ask has this happened anyone else? Am I supposed to call Sky to cancel this? I never asked for the trial (I'm quite happy with the bare bones pack) and haven't watched more than a few hours worth of the extra programming...but am I likely to be liable for a charge come direct debit day?
I may seem somewhat naeive on this topic but I know next to nothing about how Sky operate and their recent letter (that I actually did read) show their underhand bullsh*t and I really don't want to get caught out.
Any advice and comment much appreciated.

I was always gonna do that come monday morning, not much point on a saturday night.
Just wanted to know if this is commonplace or if it's some type of semi-scam on the part of Sky.
