I have a Grundig Sky Digibox that won't power up at all (the red light doesn't even come on). I tried the usual, unplugging it, checked the fused. taking out the card etc... but still no power.

    Any ideas

That sounds like the same problem i had. You can try reset it and if that fails then id ring sky and they would be able to confirm if its damaged.

PS: I have one advertised in adverts form for sale just in case your interested ;)

What do you mean by "checked the fuse?" Do you mean you stared at it or you replaced it? Or better yet, tried another cord?

I cant really remember, but you need to use your sky remote control for that part. I would ring sky, they'd be able to take through that.... Grand slam sunday tomorrow, dont want to be missing that :-)...

I took it out and put the fuse into another plug and it was fine.

Apparently a very common problem with Grundigs.
Power supply transformer components fail. Check out satcure.co.uk.
A large quantity were built with below par spec components IIRC.
I think the site offers suggestions and kits for repair.
Dont think Grundig brand boxes are being produced any more.

    It's over 6 years old.
