I struggle to put any argument for this today as it is so dull, but sunset is now getting later, despite the shortest day nearly a week away.

Here are the sunset/sunrise daylength hours for Ashford
    10th 16:08 08:26 7:41
    11th 16:08 08:27 7:40
    12th 16:07 08:28 7:39
    13th 16:07 08:29 7:38
    14th 16:07 08:30 7:37
    15th 16:07 08:31 7:36
    16th 16:08 08:32 7:35
    17th 16:08 08:33 7:35
    18th 16:08 08:34 7:34
    19th 16:08 08:34 7:34
    20th 16:09 08:35 7:34
    21st 16:09 08:36 7:33
    22nd 16:09 08:36 7:33
    23rd 16:10 08:36 7:34
    24th 16:11 08:36 7:34
    25th 16:11 08:37 7:34

    31st 16:16 08:38 7:38

In fact its nearly the new year before the mornings start getting earlier

As the figures are rounded to nearest minute, some of the above calculations are out by a minute.

I'd noticed this before when writing a PHP script to calculate sunset/sunrise.

    Excellent, but long explanation here.
