Heya awkward work q for Oz-any advice appreciated.

I arrived in Australia a week ago on a three month tourist visa-but have really fallen for the place and am now giving consideration on staying longer which may involve getting a job.So firstly,is a work visa strictly needed or are there places (bars, nightclubs)etc that will employ u without?
If I leave Australia can I return immediatley on a work visa or could I get one while still in the country?
Following that can you extend your visa while in Oz.

    Any advice greatly apprecaited.

No one will employ you cash in hand as it is illegal etc
    so please don't ask

    ...
Yes you can get a working holiday visa, you can apply online
but I think you may need a visa run (i.e. a trip to NZ and back)

yeah i think you've to leave the country to apply for it but you can get approved within 48 hrs, i used a company for my second one and although i didn't like paying for it they were very efficient. if you're still here head into flightcentre or go to some lastminute website and feck off somewhere cheap for the week and apply

You can be in oz when you apply, and then leave and come back
that way you don't have to wait around until it is through

Wait till after xmas, and get a cheap deal to new zealand
