Cheers Ruu. SDHC support is pretty sweet.

I reckon it's worth paying an extra $2 and getting the rumble pack bundle. [Link]

No doubt that in my mind that this will be perceived a stupid question...:o

But what exactly does this add to a NDS? My sister has one and I might buy it for her. Does it basically act as an emulator to play older games?

Hi, What is the function of the rumble pack?

This card and its predecessor the R4 allows to play .nds files which are actual nds games saved. These games can be then donloaded and stored on the microsd card which sits inside the R4 or DSTT card.. great job, 2gb card can hold 20 or 30 games..R4 is almost impossible to get now this this has just hit the shelves.. looks like solid replacement.Great investment if it works as well as the r4..

I'd imagine this is a competitor of, rather than successor to, the R4DS cartridge. You also need to have a microSD card on which to store the games/movies/music/images. There are bundles available that include a microSD card with the TopToy DSTT Multimedia Card. [Link]

Some games can take advantage of the rumble feature and will give you feedback in a similar way to many console controllers. This can rumble, for example, if your character takes damage or if your car starts to lose grip in a racing game. I don't know how many games actually include this feature.

One thing that's worth mentioning is that there doesn't seem to be much in the way of reviews for this product... could turn out to be a lemon. Though I'm hoping it's just that it's new on the market.

Edit: Maybe they'll actually start filling it in some day. :)

GBA Temp usually do it, also another important think is multiplayer, compatibility rate with original DS Carts etc etc

For a beginner to homebrew and DS apps., would this be the best thing to get? Or an R4 card with sd card? Do all MicroSD's work? I'm just looking for something fairly reliable and with a decent sized memory. Any recommendations?

The R4 is a proven performer; the DSTT is new on the market so we do not yet know if there will be issues with it.

MicroSDHC cards (4GB and above) don't currently work with the R4 - but standard MicroSD cards work fine with it.

Mine's been waiting 2/3 weeks now I think... I'll post a "review" here when I get it. I have an N-Card, M3 Simply, and R4DS already, so I have something to compare with. I'm guessing this is closer to the N-Card.

Yes the price is now about $6, but this thread was started in 2007,it was resurrected by Zombification to be with us today.

Resurrecting the thread again to say looks like Deal Extreme and similar sites (Focal Price) are not selling anymore flash cards because of DMCA take down complains
