Which cover? The plastic or the valve cover (metal) Plastic cladding is usually kept steady with several clips. Possibly a bolt/screw maybe involved.

Its usualy 6-8 bolts - and you might have to romove the air filter and its housing to get it off.

Go on to vagdrivers.net - there should be a guide or someone on there that will help you.
