Boot problem.

I'm trying to install XP onto a HDD, but the prompt to install isn't coming up.

I know it has something to do with the BIOS settings, but I'll be damned if I know how to fix it.

Something went wrong with my PC yesterday and it wouldn't boot up.
So I went into the BIOS thingy and selected the fail safe option. This did the trick, but now I can't install on the other HDD.

How do I set it so that I get the prompt from the install disc?

I think you may need to change the boot options in the Bios to ensure that the machine uses the CD Rom as the first boot device.

The link has the basics but the menus wouldnt be the same as you have.

    Ahh. I see.
I think it's set to boot first from the HDD.
    Thanks.
