Im going to be setting up an old pc as media centre and linking it to my my ntl box by a usb happauge Tuner

    http://www.komplett.ie/k/ki.aspx?sku=317944

what I need the advice on is how exactly do I connect the Tuner to my set top box and what cables I need to use.

I was planning on using windows media centre for XP and then streaming the content to the xbox 360 in another room.

cheers in advance for the help

Your mpeg encoder takes composite and svideo. NTL box outputs composite and RGB. So you need to get the composite and audio outputs from the NTL box. You can get cables/connectors to do this from Powercity or the like. NTL has one scart out and provides a cable which splits it. You'll need to add something to this.

How I do it is I have a scart switcher which outputs my NTL signal on a female scart. I bought one of those scart to composite/s-video/audio blocks from Powercity and connected up the 3 cables my Media Center.

Then from your PC, have the USB infrared transceiver sello taped to your PACE box. Then MCE can change the digital channels for you.

I don't know anything about streaming to xbox 360. Look up thegreenbutton. Theres tonnes of info there.
