Are street fighters which are road legal required by law to have wing mirrors?

Several years ago I was pulled for no mirrors and indicators on a Bross and The cop told me to produce the bike at a local garda station within 10 days with everything working. If you have mirror or indicator mounts they must work, even an indicator switch.

I got stopped for having no mirrors or indercators on my streetfighter during the summer and was told to get them fitted as they are compulsory on bikes manufactured after 1989.But it says in the rules of the road book (page 153)"use rear viewmirrors if yourmotorcycle or moped is fitted with them.". Nothing about indicators.
