I ordered a guitar of Music Store yesterday and sent an e-mail right after with my order number asking for an estimated delivery date and I still haven't received a reply. I know a few people here have ordered off them before and I was just wondering if someone could tell me what they're like?

I didn't bother making an account and I ordered with the CoD method. Does anyone have any information on what the delivery times are generally like? I'm hoping to have it before Christmas.

I ordered an amp from them around this time last year, it took in and around a week to arrive. They're generally good, i can't complain. But i doubt you'll get any reply to mails at this time of year. I'd be patient, they're probably dealing with huge numbers of orders at this time of year so it could take longer to process orders.

    Alan,

P.S:I'd say you have a reasonable chance of getting it before christmas, but then again dont be surprised if it doesn't quite make it

It just seems strange that I don't need to register to order via CoD. They must have some pretty honest customers. Do you remember if they e-mailed you to notify you of it being shipped?

Sorry i didn't see that you ordered via CoD, Sure it makes no difference anyway they would still have all the info they need, at least i think so anyway. I think they did send me a mail but, Both thomann and music store are awful for not sending out mails to notify you about shipment, i ordered a guitar off of thomann and heard nothing about it and then it just arrived without any mail. See what happens tomorrow morning and give them a buzz in the afternoon. You did get a confirmation mail saying that they had received your order right?

Yeah. I got an order confirmation with my order number straight away, then I e-mailed them. I suppose I'll wait and see what happens. I just wanted to make sure someone's home to pay for it if I'm not around. If there's a chance there won't be a confirmation, I'll just leave some cash around or something.

    And cheers for the replies.

Well i know there is a major issue with UPS tracking numbers getting issue. I got a order yesterday and according to the tracking number it was meant to be still in Germany. I am waiting to return something and was told there is a delay with tracking numbers...UPS man told me there frozen or something. I am sure it'll get here.

I got some items from them CoD. If there's no reply to your emails, I'd advise ringing them. I did this and got all the info I required.

My mate has had nothing but bad service.

He ordered a double bass pedal which was on back order and took a month and a half to arrive.

Then, he ordered an IN STOCK Guitar in the middle of October and it still hasn't arrived.

Ordered a few things off them and all arrived fairly soon after and never had a problem

8 days waiting here. I'll keep you updated.

If musicstore have a problem delivering things on time, it's best we all know.

You should be getting it any day soon so, it took 9 days for my cymbal to arrive and that was CoD...I have ordered numerous things off Musicstore and they have been really good.

While they have their problems from time to time, we should not disregard the role of UPS in all of this. You wouldn't believe the problems UPS have given me over the last 3 months, absolutely awful, completely gone to the dogs.

Monday was told it would be posted tuesday
Tuesday was told it would be posted tuesday
Wednesday was told it would be posted by cob (was being looked at by guitar tech 'i call horse sh1t on that one')
Thursday now and got an email this morning to say it would be posted by cob today. (was told that there was a problem loading it onto the truck from the warehouse yesterday 'not even trying to make an excuse this time')

I have mailed them to tell them that if it is not in the post and i do not have a tracking number by 5 p.m i want them to cancel the order.

    Worst service i've come across.
For a guitar worth thousands this is simply not good enough.

Well if their warehouse is half as bad as their website to navigate you may never get it I'm afraid.
Hopefully it'll be worth the wait

I hear ya. I rang earlier today to cancel the order. Got a mail 2 minutes later to say my order way on the truck and going out today and that they would send me the shipping code immediately. Still haven't heard a word. I will cancel it tomorrow if i haven't heard and just find another guitar. Shame too was looking forward to a Pelham Blue Les Paul Custom

Your guitar has been delayed by 1-2 days. I think you're overreacting a little.

Nice guitar, hopefully it is on the truck and will be in your hands in a few days.

When something costs 2600 i don't think its too much to expect prompt service. I don't expect delays full stop

Things don't always go one's way though. I don't think the price has anything to do with it regardless.

I hope you get it soon.

Very true. Well fingers crossed anyway.

So you just spent 2600 on a guitar you've never even seen in the flesh never mind played? Fair play to ya.
