laptop bag size

Can I use a 15.4 latop bag for a 14 laptop? Would it be to big/'loose'? Don't see 14 bag and only ant cheap bag for old laptop to take around for word processing etc. EDIT: Is there any way to register so that I get email notification of all the threads here ?
