    BUNNY RABBIT
"No one plugs a finger in this dyke and expects to get away without a flood of abuse." -THE WIRE

"If sex and cussing are your bread and butter, you've just found your album of the year!" -PITCHFORK

"Infectious grooves and booty bouncing bass are destined to become party anthems for the art rap set." - BUST

BUNNY RABBIT's nativity on the streets of North Brooklyn was crafted in the great American tradition of Jesus, Abe Lincoln, and Whitney Houston. Her bosom was overstuffed with heart-cut diamonds and her skin crafted from tarnished velveteen. With all the fervor of a naughty babysitter, Bunny polished her rhyming skills on street corner soapboxes and upturned garbage cans-- her plastic pearl hymns and tantric tongue-tied messages of spiritual devotion lulled the rats into a deep, deep sleep.

LOVERS AND CRYPTS-- the first act in the Tall Tales of Bunny Rabbit-- is a record of midnight freestyle nursery rhymes bred through the martyrs of hip hop, punk and folk. The essential delivery of nightmarish prophecies, hallucinogenic dark beats, seductive sweet melodies and raunchy raps are said to arouse feelings of "deep seeded shame and inexorableass shaking." Chocked full of scratch 'n sniff singles like the infectious banger "Lucky Bunny Foot" and the utopic "Saddle Up", LOVERS AND CRYPTS is an album of wonder and education that the whole family can roll up in da club and enjoy!Thesatisfyingly cathartic club hits encased in LOVERS AND CRYPTS are the paradox of perversity and imagination, creation and criminals, violence and instinct.

BLACK CRACKER-- (alias CELENA GLENN) an obscure beatmaking proselytizer already known worldwide for her own brand of crunked ethos and rhythmic slurs produced the album. She has also produced tracks with CocoRosie, toured with them several times as their beatboxer, and has won accolades and competitions internationally for her sundry performances. BUNNY RABBIT is her partner in music and life. Communing through a sugary flow of arsenic laced words, the two share an outrageous inner-world which translates into a feral hop dance melodrama, the likes of which you hope to never encounter in a dark alley. Lovingly compiled for the faithful, in sacred alliance with their devoted flock at Voodoo-EROS, BUNNY RABBIT's debut album LOVERS AND CRYPTS descends February 20, 2007.

I've never seen them live but jesus, if their myspace page is anything to go by, I agree with you 100%.
    Embarrassingly bad band.

Jenny and the Deadites are deadly, we played with them in the Lower Deck before.
All I know about YAM is that apparently one of my friends is riding one of them. Apparently.

    Ha, this will be interesting!

I love how the jibes about making shi'te music didn't bother you, good to see that you can rise about it.

Jenny and the deadites are pretty awesome by the way.

No no, this can not be true, Maebh and I are assexual, like Mulder in the X Files.
incidentally, I like how maebh says that the people who think we're bad don't get it, making it seem like they're too thick for our high-concept art.I like this. I do.

    High concept art?
    Haha...what a load of tripe,
Im still amazed at how you got a support slot for Dan Deacon...it boggles the mind!

    eh, what?
or used to be, who knows.
possibly it was all a vicious rumour.

meh..what truly boggles MY mind is your failure to detect irony. OBVIOUSLY we're not high concept art. We're pretty much the opposite of that:just two people, playing good records, MC-ing, singing, hula-hooping, and having ridiculous amounts of fun.Other people also have fun when they see us. You are not one of them. That is fine. I am not sitting in your house making you listen to us through a loudspeaker or anything, so it all works out. Badda bing, badda boom

You're Only Massive changed my life.

I'm not usually one to make sweeping, overbroad statements about music like that. I find it a bit embarrassing and awkward most of the time, but I don't mind saying it about these guys. Honestly, they changed the way I see music as performance. They bring such vitality and devil-may-care exuberance to tracks, completely refreshing whatever they touch. At a time when I was becoming disenchanted with the entire commercial music thang, they re-ignited the feelings which initially drew me to music.

I'd love to be going to that gig. I never heard of the other acts, but I don't care. I'd go anywhere to see YOM.
