    Hi Psychology Buff's
I work as a Special Needs Assistant, i only have up to Diploma level (this is as far as one can go in this feild). Does anyone out there have any info on how to become an ABA tutor? What courses are out there? Are any of the acctedited? I work with a boy who has Asperger Syndrome and i would love to apply ABA to his routine.
    Regards,
    Lou

theres an ABA MA at NUIG. as far as im aware its open to psychology graduates and Arts students who studied psychology as thats what my aba lecturer in galway said. its international accredited so you can work anywhere in the world and you have work experience 4 days of the week and lectures on a friday.

hey im an aba tutor an an aba school in the midlands. i have an honours degree in psychology and applied to the school and got the job. on site training is provided where i am. however i am only 1 of 2 people working there with a degree in psychology. qualifications vary from montessori, childcare to hairdressing and receptionist!! :) my advice is apply to an aba school and selection is most often based on genearl knowledge of the principles of aba and an enthusiasm to work with kids with autsim!! hope this helps
