Well done OP! That's a bargin and a great offer. Cheers

first off thanks to the OP for posting the info...........

but in all fairness, what exactly is great about the offer, they are just selling off this years kit before then new kit comes out, it's standard, nice to know that the sale is on, but they should really just keep the low price untill they have sold them all...........or am I wrong here ?????

it's odd that there aren't more specials on sports clothing around Christmas, I guess it's where they make most of their money.....

The Ireland Kit is just out over the Summer so wont be changed for another year. One of the Ireland jerseys is normally €100 (the one with raised panels for grip) and reduced to €45

Good find to the OP, few xmas presents sorted now, and got one for myself!

The offer is on the latest kits including the new adidas munster jerseys. Most places don't sell the older jerseys anymore(TKMaxx do have a few I think). Rugby jerseys don't change every year like soccer jerseys. Usually only when a sponsorship runs out.

Funny. i was looking at a list of photographs all the different Irish Rugby jerseys over the years, and the interesting thing was, that the jersey never changed between, i think it was 1911 and 1995. It has changed about 6 times since.

    Damn professionalism.

    thanks for the info guys......

the raised panel one is a great Bargain so.......it just seemed to me like it was very close to the start of a new year - if not a new season, and there's always the worry that Teams are about to change sponsors or whatever and change the Kit again.....

6 times in 12 years is actaully pretty good these days Blister, though I agree times have definitely changed.....:)

Whats the point of the raised panel? Surely you want a jersey to be as ungrippable as possible! Also, did anyone else notice that Connacht have no fewer than 8(EIGHT!) styles of jersey!? And people say premiership teams are taking the mick with 3rd jerseys!

Its for extra grip on the ball(sticks to the panel on the shirt)

There wont be a new Munster shirt for at least another year, this one only came out 3-4 months ago so this is a good offer considering i paid €75 for mine and €35 for one for my little brother.

It's a fantastic deal on all but the Ireland jerseys, as I reckon shops are totally over stocked in these due to the WC failure.

anyone find a size chart? cos i think the rugby shirts are usually a bit bigger than normal clothes, tried on a medium france shirt today and it was perfect fit where i usually wear a large. would like the munster test shirt but it only starts at xl :(

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 121 ✭✭jesterhead

Depends on the brand, I got one as a gift for a guy who wears a large in Canterbury jerseys, but needed an XL or XXL in Rugbytech jerseys.

I have one of the older jerseys in large and fits perfectly.. but the large in the new jersey is bit big on me!

Took a look in Sligo today - wanted a medium Ireland one for my ickle brother, failing that a Connaught, but no.. only small, large, XL and XXL. XXL would have fitted my whole family at the same time, and there's 8 of us. :D

Grabbed an XL Irish Rugby jersey as a Christmas present.. but not sure if the person i'm buying it for is an XL or L but ran it past them in Elverys and said it'd be fine to bring it in and exchange it for a different size after Christmas.

    Not too bad so.

I ordered mine over a week ago, and they only got sent on friday.
I'm giving one as a Christmas Present, so hopefully I'll get it tomorrow.

got mine today via an post registered post

ordered on last day of promo

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,502 ✭✭✭chris85

Ordered mine online on the thursday of the offer, the first day.

Rang on wednesday to say it wont be out till January. Not happy at all as i rang them before I ordered and they guarenteed they would be out to me before Christmas but thats not happening now.

They got no extra stock in for the offer. The online orders were being taken from stock in the shops but they sold so quick that the shops had none for thte online orders.

    Not impressed at all.

Didnt have my size last week so bought one that was too small and they got a delivery in during the week so exchanged it today for the right size. Good Customer service fair play to them, the one i got was an armourfit and had a rrp of €100 so i saved €55
