I ordered a Nintendo DS R4 from a Hong Kong site at the weekend and payed by paypal. Since then, the site went down and now they claim to have lost all customer data from after OCT 17th this year. So basically my account/order doesnt exist anymore and there not answering emails or replying on their forum. So im not waiting around for them to possibly fix their site. They have got the paypal money and their not going to refund it themselves, so can anyone tell me if I can report this to my credit card company and get my money back instead of dealing with those useless **** called paypal (who'd have you waiting a year to get your money back!).

Well i'm useless so probably shouldn't reply but...

If you file a non receipt dispute today and escalate it to a claim then the case should be worked within a week or two...

but i'm useless so it's ok if you don't want to :D

There there <pat's Vikings on the back> he didn't mean it.

As said, file a dispute is the best course, escalate to claim will mean it's looked at and sorted in 10 days. In fairness to Paypal, I've never had to wait that long for them to sort anything out when using the resolution console. Ringing them on the phone once was a bit of a head ache though.

    :( thanks jor el

Yeah, file a dispute and escalate it to a claim it then goes to the seller and if he doesnt respond within 10 days its closed in your favour.

If he does respond well then it gets forwarded to us to be looked at

It doesn't take that long for PayPal to refund your claim it's always within 30 days.
