Every time i go to have sex with my girlfriend while wearing a condom i seem to somehow lose my erection(im fine at foreplay etc without condoms) and somehow not be able to do the job, its very frustrating for me and my girlfriend and i dont really know what to do, perhaps its the style of condom im using, im not sure. Occassionaly i wonder is there certain sexual positions i should use to make access easier and not ruin my erection as missionery doesnt seem to be working for me. please note both of us a relatively in-experienced and im not sure where the problem lies

    Practice wearing one.
Buy a box and have as they say a posh ****.
Put on on and have a **** so that your body gets used to having it on and being stimulated.

Aye the little buggers can ruin the mood until you get used to them. Stretch the bottom bit as the ring can be quite tight and constricting so stretch is so it rolls down quicker and easier. You'll get used to them don't worry.

It could be a psycological thing where your afraid of coming in her in case you get her pregnant.
that could explain why youre fine when everything is outside.
Its quite common, you have this deep tought at the back of your head. and it worries you. Do you get paranoid the condom will break?

    Are they Durex?

    I find Durex awful tight.

Mates are better but the best are Condomi Condoms. hard to get though.

Used to have them in Boots. not sure now though.

Durex extra safe = woeful! you may as well be shaggin a black hole

You can get thinner condoms, just have a look at the websites of different makes, you'll see the options that are available to you.

why not ask her to wear a female condom instead?

I'd say 99% of the male population wouldn't even know there was such a thing. I've never even seen one.

Try asking your girlfriend to put it on for you, make it part of foreplay.

there is a line of flavored condoms around if that adds any help ;) you can also try something tighter fitting that will pinch off your blood flow just a little - it will keep you erect. Essentially its the same thing as a cock ring. Those are fun too.

don't judge everyone by your own ignorance and dismissive hatred.

Femidom is a brand name for the female condom.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Female_condom

With proper knowledge and application technique—and use at every act of intercourse—users of male condoms experience a 2% per-year pregnancy rate.

With proper knowledge and application technique—and use at every act of intercourse—users of female condoms experience a 5% per-year pregnancy rate.

The emergency contraceptive is not to be taken lightly.
It is roughly a 6months dosage of the oral contraceptive pill taken at once
and it has side effects and risks which is why it is prescription only.
Dr have refused it to women who have taken it to many times in the one year.

also has side effects-like making the girl feel extremely naseous!! it is a very unpleasant experience, hence the name EMERGENCY contraceptive...

    Rubbers ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh........
they are rubbish really. Good for one night stand where you want to ensure that you dont get yourself a nasty std or whatever.
But if you are in a relationship, discuss it with your g/f and ask her to consider going on the pill.
The sex would be much more sensual for you both -
offer to go to the doctors or clinic with your g/f if she needs help/support in getting on a prescription.
its worth doing - and would be best for both of you imho.

    best of luck.

As Thaedydal said, Femidoms are a brand of condom and are less effective than a male condom. Considering users are very much in the minority i'll have to assume that male condoms are better. Thanks all the same for offering your expert opinion with such ignorance and dismissive hatred:rolleyes:

And how about considering you both go and get tested for Hiv and sti before you stop using condoms and considering the oral contraceptive pill is not 100% effective you have a talk about what you think about kids and being faced with a crises pregnancy ?

Probably a few reasons OP and none of us (or you!) can hop into your brain and know what's going on. A lot is dependent on the type of condom you are using. Mates are better than Durex and are worth trying. OK to be relatively inexperienced - think of all the fun you will have along the way. Have you used condoms with other girls and they have worked or is this your first time?If the latter you definitley need to just get comfortable with using them so a few Tommy Tanks while wearing one will help and just being comfortable enough with how to put one on. Do that and then ask your GF to put one on for you or while giving you oral or whatever. It's nothing to do with what sexual position you are in so you can rule that one out for now. Get used to wearing one, and feel comfortable with the type you choose (go and try out a few brands/types). You will be fine.

Where can you buy female condoms?

Google tells me there are available in the major pharmacies... like who?

    Thanks!

Go in and ask for them.

What if his gf has problems with her reaction to the pill? It can wreak havoc with some women and it's fairly upsetting and do neither party any good. Besides the oral contraceptive is not 100% effective. The best thing the OP could do is discuss this with his gf, about what is best for both of them.
