Bought a set of wii remote and nun chuck off ebay from honk kong. All seems to be legit but they don't seem to want to play with my wii. When i press a & b the remote indicates that the batteries are full but doest turn my wii on. The controller i got with the wii does.

I was thinking it might be because of different regions but ive seen posts online indicate that say that jap wii remotes work on pal consoles.

    Anybody got any ideas?

Never mind, i see now http://wii.nintendo.co.uk/55.html

I might pop home at lunch and try that. Sounds like that’s what’s wrong though. Guess i should have looked into it more before worrying.

Take battery cover off Wiimote and theres a red button. There's a red button also inside the memory card slot on the Wii. Push the Wiimote button then the Wii button and the lights on the Wii will flash. Push the 1 button to make the Wiimote the first controller. It's all in your manual btw.
