Does anyone here know the name of the plan that the government has that is ongoing at the moment for linking the major cities in the country by motorway. I am unaware of the name and would like to find out details about which cities will be linked and when it will be completed by.

Was previously under the National Development Plan that ended in 2006, is currently under the Transport21 plan.

Dublin will be linked with Cork, Limerick, Galway, Waterford and the border, current target date for completion is 2010, though the border link is finished already.

Yeah, this one is called the "Making It Up As You Go Along" plan which is a good one, though obviously not as good as the "Awaiting Consultants Report" plan which is very popular across all Govt. departments.

The king of plans though is the "Announce The Same Project Again In A Big Fanfare" plan - this one is re-usable and can be rolled out approx. every 12 months. :D:D
