archaeology internship?????????????????/

    I am currently doin my MA in history at TCD but i would be interested in working in archaeology field for summer donegal/sligo area any ideas of where to start lookin dont know if this is the right forum or not any input / or if someone can enlightenme ethat would be great

    Hi there,

    I would look up the major archaeological companies in your area and ring them up. They are usually receptive to field workers looking for summer jobs.

    Also try Sligo IT Archaeology Dept. They might have something going during that time.

    If you want to work for one of the archaeological companies you will need a FAS safe pass. Costs about €140 for the one day course.

    Also, check out UCD School of Archaeology. They sometimes carry out research digs during the summer. You won't get paid though!!
