    Hi all,

What would you think of an IPC Team Satellite

    Say €100 BuyIn
    20+ Teams
    4Players Per Team
Winning Team each getting a ticket to the IPC?

If more then 20 Teams extra cash could go to runner up or individual Prizes

If you would be interested please post here.... we could probably get 8-10 teams from our Dublin pubs.

    Thanks

sounds good. Might be good practice ahead of JPs team event in march too.

I'll talk to my other team mates and see if I can get other teams fron the pub games

good idea.. i'll talk to some guys i play poker with aswell.. depends a lot on structure etc though

The structure would probably be a 25 Minute clock - moving onto a 30 Min when the blinds kick in. 10K Stack. Running ante like the Leinster MegaSatellite. Mini Version of the IPC itself...
It all depends on the Venue... I am looking to run it in a hotel where we will not be under pressure for time.

Its all up for discussion. Please register your interest so I can gage numbers

    Thanks

Where would you play it and is it €100 per team or player?

Well the tickets are worth €2k so you need to raise €8k for each of the team to get a ticket so its defo €100 per player.

Yes it would have to be €100 Per player, If the buyin is not big enough for some players a side bet could be taken, Say €50 a head and the last man standing could take the pot...

Pat do you think you would be able to round up a team for this?

Would New Years Day be a good Day for this?

a 4pm start should be finished by about 2am.... Most people would be back in work on the 2nd???

Probably, although 5 of the Ballinasloe lads qualified direct through our satellite I'll make enquiries although time is running out with Xmas Coming up etc.

I'm pretty sure we could get 2 or 3 teams from Kerry for this Steven if it was somewhat centrally located. Limerick maybe? Should be no more than 1-2 hours from everyone. Think the €50 extra for a singles prizepool is good idea, there's bound to be some players at the business end who would have nothing to play for otherwise.

Limerick central? Athlone would be ideal, although I'm sure the Moycairn or the Shearwater in Ballinasloe would accomodate.

I wa speaking from a Kerry perspective Pat. Dublin and the places you mention are 4+ hours from here, whereas Limerick is about 1.5 to 2 from here, Galway, Waterford and Dublin. It seems to me that, so far, these are the areas where people have shown interest. Obviously, if there are northern teams interested things are different. Anyhow, I was just giving my opinion.

I would defo be interested and as lplate said i think there would be a few teams from Killarney interested, but i think new years day is a bad day as there would be a lot of sick heads from the night before, what about the 28th or 29th just a suggestion?, and preferbly somewhere central to suit all.
    Great idea tough.
