Badminton in South Dublin

Was playing squash tonight. Hadn't really played before and I don't think it's my thing. I used to play badminton for years in school.

Does anyone know any clubs around Dublin 6, 14 areas that I could join or pop into ad hoc in the evenings? I wouldn't be great but I enjoy it.

I'm in the same boat. We weren't able to find anywhere in Dublin 14 (I live in Dundrum) but we've been going to Whitehall Road (near Templeogue College) where you can rent courts. It's pricey though... €14 an hour. The courts are top notch, but I'm on the lookout for somewhere cheaper. Joining a club isn't something i'm interested in, or able to since I work shifts.

    Hi....

Whitehall road and Baldoyle (Dub. 13)are the two main badminton halls in Ireland, they are two of a VERY small number fo dedicated badminton halls, hence the price being high, but the courts being class. There are a number fo clubs that play in these centers, about 4 or 5 different clubs playing in each. I'll name them if u want? What about UCD? They have teams, for all, not just students! Ah... There is mount pleasant... They have high standards though. They are loads of clubs, I'll have a think and post again later or tomorrow. Is Baldoyle out of the question for you OP? Are you looking for a club or just to hire a court?

Hiring courts would be pretty good, although a casual club would be best. I'd say Baldoyle would be a bit of a stretch alright. I'm looking for somewhere I can get to easily after work or later in the evening, either with a friend or group.
