Hey, didn't really know where to post this.

Basically I am having trouble accessing a site.

It says it does not have a web certificate and that it has expired. I then have an option to install one and when I do it goes Certificate installed, the site then loads again but nothing comes up I don't understand it. I click proceed anyways as well yet still nothing comes up.

Anyone know whats wrong the site was working for me a week ago.

I assume that the site you referred to is covered under the
    "Official Secrets Act"?

Does your Browser fall into this category too?

A little more Info might yield more replies. ;)

    What do you mean, it's a family site I don't want to post it up on boards.ie and I don't really see how knowing what the site is would help you in addressing the problem that is ;

Messege comes up and says the site's certificate has expired, it gives me the option to install one, I install one and it loads yet still nothing comes up. My friend can access the site fine so its obviously a problem with my computer. I sometimes get the option to 'Proceed anyway' yet still it doesnt load up.

Can anyone help me its driving me up the wall.

Without -any- details I don't think anyone could help.

Crazy idea - we could try it and see if we get the same error.

If you told us exactly what you see when you say "it doesn't load up", it would help. Does it give any text at all? Does it give an error?

Also, knowing what web browser you are using would help - not everyone uses Internet Explorer.

    thanks Tom Dunne.

Firstly it works for other people I have asked just not me as stated in my previous post.

    I am using FireFox.

When it loads up it just goes white, absolutely nothing shown.

Theres a lock at the corner of my page, I click on it and it says the websites certificate has expired, I have the option to install a new one, I do so, yet still when it loads up it just goes white, absolutely nothing shown.

Do you have to log onto this site or do the others when they go onto it? The lock implies that it is https (i.e. secured). If it's a site that anyone can supposedly access then it should probably be http. I can't really tell what the problem is from your posts. Do you own/adminstrate the site? An SSL certificate is for the website owner to install to the webserver akaik.

If it is just a plain bog-standard website then try changing the https to http. (If that's what is actually showing in your address bar).

    i.e. https://www.mysite.ie becomes
    http://www.mysite.ie

Anyhow it's a shot in the dark but might (possibly) solve your problem.
