USB to IDE/EIDE cable question

My old PC died a while back, something to do with the CPU. The hard drives weren't effected anyway. These are sitting in it right now:

Samsung SP0802N
http://www.samsung.com/au/products/harddiskdrive/harddiskdrive/sp0802n.asp

Maxtor 32049H2
(can't find a website).

As far as I know, the samsung one is EIDE and the maxtor is IDE.

Would both of these plug into a cable like this? http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=48965&C=Maplin&U=SearchTop&T=USb%20to%20IDE&doy=11m12

No cables seem to mention supporting EIDE. I'm just trying to get the data off the hard drives once and then give them to a family member.

I'm sure this will do what you want.

You can check the ribbon cables attached to the drives to make sure they are the same (probably both of them are IDE cables).

Click on the FAQ's tab on the Maplin site too, the have a link to the drivers for earlier versions of windows.

You can also use the same FAQ's tab to submit your query directly to Maplin.
