Is there any way to import multiple mp3s to iTunes without doing it one by one?

Just highlight all the mp3's in a folder and right click on them and choose 'open with' iTunes, is that what your looking for?

Really what I'd like to do is import them into a playlist; tis ok, I just put them in a folder in the iTunes library for the moment.

drag'n'drop onto the iTunes icon in the dashboard?

    Dashboard?

Meanwhile, is there an app that will recognise *individual* tracks, rather than whole CDs? My nephew kindly gave me some CDs some time ago with names such as "Rachmaninov, Bartok, celeste music", which presumably combine tracks from a couple of CDs; at this stage he can no longer remember what these were. Of course, knowing the nephew, it's possible they're CDs of his friends playing the music. But just in case they're from actual CDs, is there such an app?
