Hi - I saw the previous thread about the tv licence and have a similar situation. I've handed in my notice on my apartment and in the process of moving. I haven't been there over the last two weeks, other than to pick up clothes and last weekend when i went to move my stuff out, there was a post card thingy saying that a tv licence inspector had failed to gain attention at that address. It was addressed to 'the occupier'. It also said they would be back within 7 days (which is today) but I am on the other side of the country in a new job. I'm arranging with Chorus to have my connection disengaged/transferred to new address. As my brother in law own the apt, I don't want to land him in it so my query is can I just ignore this as I am moving without him getting into sticky water for it..

Ignore it as they obviously don't know who is living there.

Many thanks - and as the owner of the apt, they won't go chasing my brother in law?

Not if there is no one living there.
