What size dish for Astra 28E in Helsinki?

Folks,

a friend of mine is moving to Finland and wants to know if he can receive Sky on Astra28 in Helsinki? Does anyone know if this is feasible and what size dish to give rain/snow margin?

Seems you'l need at least a 1.2m dish for Astra2a-c, and a 2.4m one for Astra2d (BBCsITVs)

Some channels would be got with a small dish (60-80cm), some would need much larger dishes, well over 2m I would think for many channels. It depends on which Satellite (EB1, Astra 2A/B/C/D) and which beam from each satellite the channels are on.

Anything on Astra 2D would be the weakest as it has a tight beam focused on UK/IRL.

Thanks for the replies folks.

It will be Astra2D allright (BBC, ITV, and possibly RTE with an Irish Sub) so looks like he will require a 2.4m dish.

Does anyone here have a good personal recommendation on where to order one of these dishes + LNB at a good price in Europe - say Germany?
