Good stuff-he needs a few test's before he should be considered for a title shot..

Not sure of what to make of Vandas record.
On one hand he beat Campos before Duddy did, which is good.
On the other hand he lost to Bonsante who Duddy beat and he also lost to a guy called Martinus Clay who had more losses than wins going into the fight.

    some clips of Vanda,
havent heard of him before, would he be considered a step up or down from eastman?

Definite step down from Eastman in my opinion. Eastman was unlucky not to be a world champ at one stage.

Step down by a good bit , Vanda is pretty poor .

Considering that the fight is in 2 months and that he could have a European title fight the month after it's not a bad stay busy opponent . But Vanda isn't taking Duddy any closer to a world title and if it's a 12 rounder I reckon Duddy stops him .

What this will do for Duddy is keep him sharp and give him more exposure , so I suppose in that sense you could say the more exposure the closer he is to a World title .

I'm pretty sure he was mean to fight this guy before.

lets say Duddy wins both his fights in Feb and March but doesnt get a shot at Pavlik, who in the top ten (the rings top ten) do you think he would beat:
(the champ is Pavlik and Duddy is 10th)

1 winky wright: former undisputed light middleweight champ
    2 Arthur Abraham IBF
3 Jermain Taylor: former undisputed middleweight champ
4 Felix Sturm current WBA champ and former WBO champ
5 Javier castillejo former WBC&EBU champ at 154, former WBA and EBU 160
    6 Sebastian Sylvester EBU
7 Amin Asikainen ( former EBU champ, recent)
8 Randy Griffin (recently drew with sturm for wba title )
9 Raymond Joval ( former IBO and WBU champ

Why wouldn't he though? Admittedly I'm not the biggest boxing fan, but the link I gave makes it sound like he's guaranteed his title shot, unless he loses before then

    well to use a different scenario;
after his fight with Vanda, who in the top 10 do you think Duddy could take?
its just that he's at that level now and these are the guys he could be facing soon.
His fight with Pavlik looks likely to go ahead although anything can happen: hand injuries, pavlik moving up in weight, one or the other losing between now and June

Judging from that clip he's no finisher, and anyone who wears a dopey mask like that into the ring deserves to be pummled!! :D

Convinced since saturday that Duddy is not going to be champ, good but limited fighter. Gets hit way too often and slow to use his right.

He was severly outpointed by bonsante, who isn't exactly a technically gifted boxer.

Duddy should run through this guy.

    Winky-no

Abraham-probably not but maybe if he is the one to hit the jackpot . Abraham is really starting to struggle with his weight and eventually someone is going to be the lucky man that catches him too weight drained to be effective .

Taylor-can't make middle anymore , above middleweight Taylor beats him easy .

Sturm-Duddy has a good chance at koing him but if the fight was in Germany(which it would be) he wouldn't be able to win a decision even if he deserves it . Most likely Sturm would keep the fight at range and win on points .

    Castillejo-could go either way ,pick-em fight .

Sylvester-I reckon Duddy ko's the chinny German . Sylvester likes to stand and trade a bit too much for his chins liking and against Duddy it would be his undoing .

Asikainen-I think Duddy outworks him for a very close decision .

    Griffin-again close decision for Duddy

    Joval-wide decision for Duddy .

It may look like I'm picking Duddy a lot , I'm well aware that he's pretty average . It just so happens so is the middleweight division after Pavlik , Taylor and Abraham .

    Good analysis. I'm in agreement.

Sylvester or Asikainen - SHOULD to the next opponant.

Vanda os a decent fighter and well known (not for all the right reasons - drug dealing) in the US.

Duddy will be fighting Kelly Pavlik in June!

Pavlik would knock out Duddy in devasting fashion I would not like to see that fight happen
