    God, where do i start?

Right, need some advice. Without sounding juvenile and pathetic but i was with it girl a few weeks back. We have the same circle of friends and meet quite a bit on nights out etc. And i would love to take her out. Anyways i'm a confident guy but really haven't the balls to ask her stright out as i've a feeliing shes not interested? I have to say apart from being a messer I love a bit a romance?

So i was thinking randomly buy the girl flowers and on it put her name and a link to a song on the web where she would probably understand/get the picture. Leave her thinking. Give her a call later and explain/ask it all!

    Now will this work?
Is this the arsey-ous thing you've ever heard?
    Is it too much?
Is knowing her mates really well going to effect this?

    Thanks a mil

Nah just ask her straight. She'll find it harder to say no that way:)

    DO IT!

oh yeah go for it. get the flowers on your way home and go for it. Please let us no how you get on. i love the idea where she will have to following the link, its romantic and exciting all at the same time. way dont more men think of silly but heart warming idea's like that. if she has a heart when you ring her she wont be able to say no.

Personally, I think its overkill, but Im not the romantic type.

I think the flowers are a nice touch, but a phone number on them would be enough?

No, the phone number would turn something unique into something boring. I agree that it might be better suited for a later gift though, no sense spending if she hasn't said yes yet ;)

I would just ask her out straight, if she was with you she probably likes you so just for it.

Honestly? As a girl, I'd be totally freaked out by that.

Spend the flower money on a few rounds of drinks while getting to know her better in a nice pub somewhere.

Give her a call and ask her to meet you. If she's not interested (as you suspect), she'll shoot you down and you can leave it there- no loss.

ooohhh - it's certainly different, and...what's the word......creepy. just my opinion mind. if she's not interested, you're going to make a far bigger fool out of yourself by doing this than asking her out. If she's not interested, I don't think this will make her interested. But, sincerly, fair play for thinking of something different.

In my female opinion, don't do all that cheesy stuff you mentioned. As you're not dating it's a bit stalkerish. I would prefer if a bloke asked me out in a way that was easy to say no to, at least that way you know if she's really interested. EG:
You say, "Do you fancy coming to the pub/cinema/etc with me on Thursday night?"
That way if she is interested and available she can say, "Yes"
If she is interested but unavailable she can say, "I can't do thursday how about saturday?"
And if she is uninterested she can say, "No sorry I'm busy that night." And no one loses face!
