Trying to get a "log book" for vintage project bike.

    I am wondering how one would go about applying for a log book for a pre war vintage bike that was bought in a box with no paper work.

    No idea, try biker.ie as some of the guys there fix up old bikes and have mentioned getting the books before.

    If its an Irish bike then you will have to contact your local customs and excise office, as this is the only place to get a vehicle registration certificate (tax book).Let us know how you get on .

    I went down this road for the same bike back in the 80ies, It was like hitting my head off a brick wall with all the red tape and forms. (Before they went digital) As far as I know most of their records were destroyed at some stage, this bike would be from the late 30ies to mid 40ies.
