Looking for recommendations for courses to play over the Xmas break.
My home course suffers a bit during the winter, so I'm looking for a good quality course within a handy drive of Sandyford.

I was thinking about Druid's Heath, anyone know how it holds up under winter conditions?

I play Woodenbridge every year during the summer and love it, but would never have dreamt of it as a winter course. Only €25 Mon-Fri. Nice one!

Played Castleknock recently and it was in cracking condition. Dry as a bone throughout. I know its not everyones cup of tea, but it was in great nick.
I hear moyvalley, is 65 euro at the mo to visitors, never played it myself, maybe someone here has. Must be worth a visit.

Played Moyvalley earlier this year in a corporate outing, and it's a beast of a course. Brilliant design, immaculate condition, great facilities, but unless you driving well (250-300+ yds straight ) its a tough, tough course. I'd love to have another go in the hieght of summer, but it would destroy me in the winter.

I'm going to try and have a sneaky peek at Woodenbridge this Friday (subject to availability).

I've heard that Dunmurry Springs has a winter tournament package in place. €25 a round and you submit your best 5 cards of the winter for the competition. Haven't played it yet but I've heard it's a good test of golf.

That's a cracking deal and idea! fair play to them. If it wasn't so far away from me i'd definitely have a go at it.
