I know the feeling. I was in Syths in Athlone in early November and they had loads of pink ones. When I went looking for one two weeks later they were nowhere to be found. I tried loads of xtravision, smyths, gamestop and Argos stores. Eventually my better half was on to local gamestop on a daily basis and got one from them last week-three weeks after we started looking.

According to Smyths toy store website www.toys.ie there is no store in Dundalk?
Is this a new store, cause my girlfriends mum is desperate to get a black ds lite. Is there any contact details for the store?
    Thanks

Don't mean to hijack the thread but would any of you nice people know, if I purchased one of these in Hong Kong (next weekend, on route to NZ), whats the chances of getting it in English language? Cheers!:D

I just got one in Virgin in the Whitewater shopping centre, Newbridge.
There were 2 pink ones left and a few white.

Dont quote me on this though I think if you buy from Hong Kong your gonna have to buy all your games from Hong Kong from then on too.....

You should be able to switch it into an english language no probs though...

nope the Ds is region free so i assume it'll play games from anywhere no matter where you buy it.

there was a good few white black and silver ones in smyths in drogheda last week but i heard they sold out within hours.

The pink one is going to be impossible to get this close to christmas but most people i know that were looking for them seem to get them in gamestop, they seem to come back into stock every few days - apart from the pink ones.

    Incorrect and misleading info.

The DS Lite is not region-locked - games bought anywhere will work
on any DS Lite. All you will need is either a USB power lead or a UK/Irish
    wall charger.

Yeah it's funny that cos the Hong Kong plug socket is the exact same type as ours (having googled it ) but the Voltage is slightly less @220v. Where we are 230v, so it must just be close enough to not make a difference.

Smyths in Blanch got a delivery of 200 in today and that's where I got mine. Queued for 2 hours but at least they gave out tickets to everyone that queued. Doubt if there was any left though!

Any one have any ideas where I might get one?
My auntie needs it and I've been commissioned to find it....

Aargh! Dundrum Game got a measly 7 DS in today as opposed to 70 Wii.
Queue of about 5 million people. :(

Virgin Dundrum had 30 of each colour yesterday and I was in Dundrum but I never knew they sold them. Aargh!
