A once in a lifetime business opportunity...

I see the Haugheys have got involved with the investment opportunities sector :)
Oddly the email address spells "haughey" as "haughley", while it turns out that ol' CJ had an alter-ego by the name of Cedric de Vregille. Still, its endearing that his next-of-kin writes about him in such a touching manner. Naturally I would forward money - except that I have it already earmarked for a business proposal by Ann Lenihan, widow of the late Brian. Darn. :(

BUSINESS PROPOSAL (Mrs Maureen Haughey ROI)

    Dear Friend,

I am the widow of former Taoiseach of the Republic of Ireland, Charles J.
Haughey who passed away last year (May his soul rest in peace) and
daughter of former Taoiseach of the Republic of Ireland and heir to de
Valera, Sean F. Lemass. The urge to ignore this email will be high, but I
want you to accept it in good faith, with humility as a divine calling
and not to ignore this email or it's contents.

The International Press has written a lot about the unresolved mysteries
and corruption surrounding all Charlie’s dealings both in and out of
government, but I tell you something, my Charlie was a good man. He did
whatever he did for a reason and I had to stand by him through the
tribunal times, it was to do with what I’m doing now. No one knew the
details of all Charlie’s financial dealings but me. I am the only one who
knows about these monies and the other Ansbacher accounts.

The Irish government now thinks it can shave and reduce me to a poor widow but I hold the winning aces. A few years ago, when we weren’t sure if my Charlie would be indicted, he kept some money in trust for me in a
Financial instituition. Ofcourse he did not deposit the money in any of
our names so it will not be traced back to us and to enable the past
remain the past, he deposited the money in a ficticious name. The name on
the deposit is Cedric de Vregille and the amount he deposited in this name
is €30,000,000 (Thirty Million Euros). Mr Charlie was never Indicted
before he eventually passed away last year, leaving this money clean and
still in that name, Cedric de Vregille.

You can read more about my late charlie from:
    http://www.ireland.com/focus/haughey/ITstories/story11.htm

As charlie's next of kin and because I still have to keep our names out of
it, The financial instituition where this funds are deposited now wants me
to appoint someone to come forward and lay claims to it either in person
or electronically. In this regard, I want you to come forward and lay
claim to this amount for me, moreso to use the money as instructed by me.
It will be very easy, risk free and 100% legal as I will take care of all
the legal documents needed to make you the sole beneficiary of this funds
on my behalf. I have also set aside 10% of the total funds as your share,
i.e €3,000,000 (Three Million Euros) for your work in assisting me move
the funds from where it presently lies to a new account in your name that
    will be managed by you.

As soon as I receive your acceptance to assist me through my personal
email address: maureen_haughley03@hotmail.com , I will give you all the
relevant details and begin the documentation that will facilitate the
immediate release of the funds in your name. I am entrusting this deal to
you with the hope that you will make it successful for our mutual benefit.
For my security and the sake of letting sleeping dogs lie, I strongly
advice that you keep our dealings confidential.

Thank you very much for your time and attention. I look forward to hearing
    from you.

    Mrs Maureen Haughey ROI

Yeah, string them along, then tell them you'll meet them in some obscure country.Friend of mine did that. and videoed the scammer waiting in a park in Glasgow holding a newspaper and hopping on one leg.:D

Great scam btw. I can see this one going the distance!

I was gonna post about it elsewhere but here is as good as anywhere I guess...

I got spam mailed during the week, but this time it was by post! Couldn't believe it when I opened the letter. I had won £320,000 from the Brittish Lottery Fund, brilliant!

When it comes by post it just makes me feel a bit more special than the e-mail. It does make it more costly if I was to try and string them along though :(
