Has anybody seen that STP ad lately on RTE2. It looks around 20 years old, crack up everytime I see it.
It has a guy in the Texas desert doing up his rustbucket car with STP.........80's retro ad right there!

The Aquafresh ad has been around a while too by the look of it. Then there's the JIF Lemon day (Pancake Tuesday) ad. All vintage.

That Aquafresh ad has been around since the mid-80's at least, for definite. As has the JIF lemon day ad, though I don't think I've seen that in a couple of years.

The STP ad, well, I remember seeing it about 1990 or 1991 if not earlier so it's at least 16 or 17 years old at this stage. I hadn't seen it for a while and was surprised to see it back on the telly recently as well. First thought that popped into my head as well was "Christ, that one's been going for f**king years!" :D

Can anyone think of any other ads they've seen lately which have been around for donkey's years? The An Post 'Snowman' ad comes to mind, as does the Kelloggs Christmas ad (you know, the American kids leaving out the bowl of cornflakes for Santy). The Kelloggs one is another which hasn't dated well and definitely has that look of early- to mid-80's about it too! :D

Except for the box itself, which they have digitally updated through the years...
