    It is 85 Years(and 3 days) since the foundation of the State we live in.The Irish Free State was established 6th December 1922...

    85 years and we aint doing too bad!

    Of course the REAL republicans will say it started with the first Dail in 1919, or was it with the proclamation in Easter 1916, or does it still not yet exist in all its doctrinaire ideological purity?
